The next segment of this series is on spending time with yourself. In this hectic world and fast-paced society, it has become even harder to spend some alone time. Jackie Kennedy Onassis taught her children well. She taught them to spend some alone time by themselves in the morning. In my opinion, this is a huge step in your self discovery. So, with that said, This week I urge you to spend one hour with yourself. Find out what you like and who the real you is. Write out a contract to yourself that you will set aside at least one hour by yourself. Some ideas are to spend sometime alone are go out in nature, walk the beach, go to a concert, an art show, go to an ethnic restaurant that you have always wanted to go to and try their food, and there are many other things to do. Another idea is to do something that you have been wanting to do that you have been putting off.
The point of this exercise is to discover who you are, what you like, and to step outside of your comfort zone and remove the dullness in your life. Remember, make a contract to yourself that you will spend one hour this week with yourself. Do not make excuses and do not listen to the chatter in your head.
I have to say, this week, I did my assignment. I walked on the beach and it felt so healing and I watched the waves go in and out. How soothing!

You get so much more energy when you can take that time for yourself. It also makes all the other tasks in your life less of a burden. I agree with you. We all must take some time for ourselves.
Time for ourselves is extremely important. However, I feel like being a busy mom taking time to work on my business IS taking time for ourselves.
I do what I love to do, what can I say:).

In this fast paced world we all live in, it’s sometimes hard to find that time for ourselves. However, I completely believe in the power of silence and I’ve been doing this for years. I like to take the time to just be with my thoughts in order to refocus my energy. Especially in times when I feel most stressed or out of sorts.
Great stuff June

First thing every morning I take 25 minutes to practice hypnosis. This helps me start my day off on the right foot. What I need to work on is taking extra time throughout the day to focus on me. I will work on this! Thank you for sharing.
Hey June,
Spending time alone and developing a mental game plan is important. I usually do this everyday, and put my day in order if I can, but once month evaluate what I can do better. Thinking is healthy process, and mediating on that with your alone time is good.
Regards,
I totally agree, time to myself is crucial. It gives you a time to refect on what is going on around you and how to enhance your current situation.
